Toronto Halloween Guide 2012

Love it or hate it, it’s Halloween again. Whether you relish in the chance to don a costume or simply see the holiday as an excuse to party, there are no shortage of events throughout the city to celebrate Halloween 2012,  from Friday until Halloween night on Wednesday. 

Friday, October 26, 2012

Monster Mash 2012 at The Guvernment
One of the biggest Halloween events in Toronto returns, bringing a variety of the top talent in electronic music together, with 7 rooms and 7 sounds.

Cost: $35.00.

Nuclear Fallout at This is London
This is London and Red Square present Nuclear Fallout, an event we can safely assume will be packed with partygoers on the younger end of the young professional age range. Party begins at 10:00pm. 

Cost: $15.00

Saturday, October 27th

3rd Annual Diablo Halloween Ball inside 99 Sudbury
One of the city’s biggest Halloween events since 2010, this 2000-person party features two huge rooms and two sounds, DJs and entertainment. The best costume wins a huge flat screen TV. Other highlights include digital laser lights, a horror movie video wall, free tricks & treats and Halloween décor. Doors open at 9:00pm. 

Cost: $20.00 early bird.

Scary Storys 2
The STORYS Building (11 Duncan) transforms into a massive, multi-level haunted house, filled with 800 20-and-30-somethings. Music by: DJ Class!ck (Hip Hop and House). Bottle Service: 15 VIP Booths, 3 bottle min, Bottles $180-240 each.

Cost: Early bird tickets are $25; $50 at the door. 

The 4th Annual Burroughes Haunted Mansion 
The Burroughes Building on Queen Street West will once again become a one-of-a-kind haunted mansion for the city’s young professional set. This party is typically an older crowd so you can avoid the influx of university-aged costume-clad club goers.  The party features music by
DJ Rouge & Conor Cutz. Doors open at 9:00pm. 
Cost: $40/ticket.

Halloween Saturday @ This is London and Red Square
What you can expect from a typical party night at This is London, only with costumes, and ladies who are even more scantily clad than a regular club night. Party from 10:00pm onward to the music of Joe Ghost and Andrew Oddesey.
Cost: $25.00

2nd Annual Halloween Massacre
For the second year in a row, the entire lower level of the Intercontinental Centre is transformed into a Halloween playground, with Halloween treats and décor, two rooms, two sounds (music by ISC Nation and DJ Special K) playing the best of top 40, house, R&B and hip hop. 

Cost: Early bird tickets: $20.00, $30.00 after and $40.00 at the door. 

The Mod Club Halloween Party 2012
You will likely find no shortage of hipsters at the Mod Club, as guests dance to the sounds of UK-UNDERGROUND, Indie, Electro, Dubstep, and Rock. Featuring: Dj MRK Tigerblood Light//Speed. There will be costume prizes in six categories. Doors at 9pm till 3am. 

Cost: Early bird $15 Sleepy bird $20. 

Wednesday, October 31st: 

The Hoxton Halloween Horror
The Hoxton’s annual Halloween bash partners with Movember, with a portion of all proceeds from the party going to the charity. DJs for the night include Matt Zanardo, DJ Hoff & Movember Canada’s Grand Master Stache DJs. Costumes are mandatory. 

Cost: $15.00 

Liberty Ville Haunt at William’s Landing
Beginning right after work at 6:00pm, William’s Landing becomes a Halloween party that carries through the evening, with the kitchen open all night and cash prizes for the best costume. Perhaps the best part is that there is no cover charge. 

Liberty Halloween 2012
If you are in for an ambitious evening destined to be a rowdy party, the annual Halloween party at Liberty Village attracts 5000 young partygoers with three different decked out rooms. The night features prizes for best costumes and DJs and performers.

Cost: $25 Early Bird tickets until October 22nd.

Of course, if a crowded club scene isn’t for you, there are other ways to enjoy the holiday as well, like Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights) or Screemers (Thursday to Wednesday, 7-11pm), a perfect date idea.
