Tommy Ton at Club Monaco

For those of you who do not know, Tommy Ton is one of Toronto’s most proclaimed street style photographers. If you are still unsure, you might better recognize his popular street style blog, Jak and Jil. His iconic and candid images of the fashion industry’s finest have been featured in almost every fashion magazine you can think of – Elle Canada, GQ, Flare, Vogue, Style.com, among others. His remarkable eye and talent has made it so that even editors are cover stars these days.

This 28-year-old is driven by his extensive knowledge of fashion design and as a result he has quickly become an industry favourite. With a Canadian photographer creating such buzz in the fashion industry, it is a no brainer that Canadian born fashion chain Club Monaco would want to collaborate with Tommy.

On Monday, March 26, Tommy launched the release of his elegantly designed drawstring backpack and messenger bag at Club Monaco on Bloor Street. Without a doubt, Tommy’s limited edition capsule collection was well received as Toronto’s fashion elite including, Mosha Lundström Halbert, Anita Clarke, Lance Chung, and Bernadette Morra, came out to support. Toronto’s most stylish fashion lovers spent the evening enjoying wine and hors d’oeuvres, admiring Tommy’s beautiful images that were suspended from the ceiling.

It is safe to say that Tommy and his newly designed bags are a huge hit. The prices range from $200 to $235 and, as far as we’re aware of, there is a waiting list if you wish to purchase them from Club Monaco. All you fashion lovers better move fast.
