Today’s Notable 3some in Toronto: May 6, 2014

Here’s a trio of the hottest things you can do on the first Tuesday of May.*

Canadian Music Week
Where: Wherever there’s a stage
When: For the next five days

CMW kicks off today in venues across the city. Check out our survival guide here. You’re welcome.

Web Junkie
Where: Workman Arts, 651 Dufferin St.
When: 7pm

China’s become the first country to label Internet addiction as a clinical disorder – so it’s a good thing you don’t live there or you’d be cut off. Tonight’s documentary, Web Junkie, visits a rehab centre in Beijing and focuses on three teens trying (see: being forced) to break their obsession. You can check out the Web Junkie trailer on the Internet right here.

100 in 1
Where: MaRS Discovery District, 101 College St.
When: 6:00pm

A month from now the official 100 in 1 Day festival will take place. This global movement has already helped to transform 15 cities around the world since its start in Bogotá in 2012, and we want Toronto to be next. Take your ideas, ambition, and imagination to MaRS tonight and meet the team putting this citizen-driven celebration together. This is what an urban intervention looks like – so here’s your chance to tell Toronto how it’s been letting you down and how you’d like to see it change.

*Of course, no one would blame you for staying in to celebrate the fact that you don’t live in B.C
