Today’s Notable 3some in Toronto: May 14, 2014

Here’s a trio of the hottest things you can do on this glorious Hump Day.*

Game of Thrones
Where: TIFF Bell Lightbox
When: Now until Sunday

Suddenly Toronto and Westeros don’t look all that different. Luckily, that doesn’t mean you have to brush up on your sword skills, it only means that nearly 100 original artifacts, costumes, weaponry, storyboards, and more from seasons 1, 2, and 3, as well as select pieces from the fourth season of George R.R. Martin and HBO’s fantasy world, will be on display at the Bell Lightbox. This is your only chance to take the Iron Throne.

This Is Not A Work Party
Where: Design Exchange, 234 Bay St.
When: 6:00pm

For the past two months, Design Exchange has been hosting an exhibition of “contemporary art and collectible design” curated by none other than Pharrell “Happy” Williams. If you haven’t checked it out yet, this is your last chance. And we can’t imagine a better last look than through the experience of a closing party put on by none other than Ink Entertainment

Beer Working
Where: Mill St. Brewery
When: 6:30pm

Wait, doesn’t beer always work? We think so, even without knowing the problem. But a night of networking and beer education sounds like a productive way to spend Hump Day to us. The fourth in a series of five events, tonight’s mingling will take place at the Mill St. Brewery and will feature six separate brews that will help to smooth over all things social. But like the bottle, just make sure not to reach a tipping point.

*Of course, no one would blame you for staying in. Seriously
