Today’s Notable 3some in Toronto: June 4, 2014

Here’s a trio of the hottest things you can do on the first Hump Day in June.*

Meatballs
Where: Tiff Bell Lightbox
When: 7:30pm

Finally, everything you’ve ever wanted to know about Meatballs. Sure, you had to wait 35 years, but it just doesn’t matter. Cast and crew will be at TIFF tonight to recall that fateful summer so many years ago. Bill Murray isn’t on the list to attend but he’s also pretty great at making cameos so here’s to hoping…

Seafood
Where: Yonge & Dundas Square
When: 11:00am

In advance of World Oceans Day on June 8, WWF Canada is hosting a slew of activities and events across the country. Today in Toronto, Patrick Murray (Starfish Oyster Bar & Grill) will be serving up some sustainable seafood from a food truck. And rumour has it the entire square will be taking on a coastal feel as well – no word yet on how sustainable your work shoes will be on sand.

Brewers
Where: CBC Atrium, 250 Front St. W
When: 6:15pm

As in, Brewers Plate. This annual feast brings together some of the best chefs and crafty brewers in the province to deliver a celebration of all things local and sustainable. Speaking of sustainable, the beer tastings are unlimited. Great food, drinks, and entertainment – this is what Hump Day is all about.

*Of course, no one would blame you for staying in to start backing up your iPhone now
