Today’s Notable 3some in Toronto: July 30, 2014

Here’s a trio of the best things you can do on the last Hump Day in July.*

Lionel Richie & CeeLo Green
Where: Molson Amphitheatre
When: 6:00pm

We’re not sure CeeLo is all that cool with second billing and we wouldn’t be surprised if he said F%ck You to Nicole’s daddy and took the headline here. After all, Usher’s taken over his seat on The Voice while he’s on tour… the man has to establish himself somehow.

Before and After the Horizon
Where: AGO
When: 6:30pm

Whenever the AGO has a new show, it’s news. So tonight’s public opening of Before and after the Horizon: Anishinaabe Artists of the Great Lakes is no different. The contemporary artists involved “sought to visually express the spiritual and social dimensions of human relations with the earth.” This is local history – on canvas.

Outdoor Movies
Where: TIFF Bell Lightbox/Daniels Spectrum
When: 9:00pm

Two very different options to have the same great movie experience – as in, no theatre necessary. Through TIFF, you can catch the classic Sunset Boulvard (it’s why you know this line) or head across town to watch Common give his on-screen nephew some real talk in LUV. Probably best to keep an eye on the weather though.

*Of course, no one would blame you for staying in to lament the end of the Notable3Some.
