Today’s Notable 3some in Toronto: January 29, 2014

Here’s a trio of the hottest things you can do in the city on Hump Day.*

Wearable Wednesday
Where: Unknown (yes, seriously)
When: 7:00pm-9:30pm

Wearable tech is becoming kind of a big deal. So it’s no surprise that there’s now a night dedicated to showing you all the ways you can strap science to your body. Tonight will feature Kiwi Wearables, TechCrunch writer Darrell Etherington, and Google Glass you can actually touch. If you want in, you have to be wearing the password when you show up. Kidding, but you will need to join the group to find out the location.

Last Wednesdays
Where: 401 Richmond
When: 5:00pm – 8:00pm

This beautifully restored, heritage-designated, industrial building is home to a mini cultural universe. More than 140 artists, cultural producers, microenterprises, galleries, festivals, and shops call the space home and they’re opening their doors for you, handing you a cocktail, and inviting you in to view current exhibits and meet the artists who created them – and all for free (‘cause who puts a price on good art, anyway?)

Kama Reading
Where: The Park Hyatt, 4 Avenue Rd.
When: 6:30pm

The KAMA Reading Series is starting off its 22nd season tonight at the Park Hyatt, continuing to promote “the joy attained through reading, literature, and critical thought.” Authors Lorrie Gallant, Itah Sadu, Olivia Chow, and Michele Landsberg will be reading from their own works and giving their opinion on feminist writing and living. Get out and get learned.

*Of course, no one would blame you if you sat around staring at these pictures, and wondering which came first – the helmet or the music.
