Today’s Notable 3some in Toronto: February 24, 2014

Here’s a trio of the hottest things you can do to avoid having a case of the Mondays.*

Chris Tucker
Where: Varsity Cinemas, 55 Bloor Street W.
When: 7pm

In celebration of Black History Month, CFC, Clement Virgo Productions and TD are honouring Chris Tucker, who, despite what you might remember him for, actually has quite an impressive resume outside of the Rush Hour series (Comedy Def Jam, Fifth Element, Jackie Brown, Silver Linings Playbook). You’ll get to participate in a Q&A with the man himself and find out whether or not you understand the words that are coming out of his mouth.

Grizzlies, Piranhas & Man-Eating Pigs
Where: Roy Thomson Hall
When: 8pm

Joel Sartore has been photographing for National Geographic for over 20 years, so it’s pretty safe to say he’s probably got a few decent stories. He’s travelled to exotic locales, dealt with charging animals, and even took the portrait of himself used for this event (it takes talent to snap a professional-level selfie). If you’ve ever dreamed of travelling the world with a camera, you want to hear this man speak.

Well Dressed for Spring
Where: Holt Renfrew, 50 Bloor Street W.
When: 7:00pm

Holt Renfrew, in partnership with Women in Capital Markets and Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation, is holding Well Dressed for Spring – a first-class fashion evening that unites young professionals and leaders in both the financial and fashion communities in order to draw support for women, men, and children impacted by cancer in the GTA. Your $200 ticket will include a $100 Holt Renfrew Gift Card, cocktails, fashion show, an exclusive shopping experience, and a charitable tax. And most importantly, of course, your support to a great cause.

*Of course, no one would blame you for staying in all night to watch this. On repeat. For all of time.
