This Week In Toronto Music September 22 to 28

Toronto’s music scene can be pretty hectic.

In fact, often the only thing busier than the venues in this city is you. And since we know that a young professional (YP) lifestyle needs a good beat to back it up, we’re going to round up the best shows happening over the next seven days.

Every. Single. Week.

You don’t have to waste any more of your time searching for the next best concert – ‘cause every Monday you’ll find it right here.

JANN ARDEN | MASSEY HALL | TUESDAY 8PM
If you like your music a little more on the adult contemporary (and Canadian) side, you should be at Massey Hall tomorrow night.

SINGLE MOTHERS | HORSESHOE TAVERN | THURSDAY 8:30PM
These heavy rockers from Hamilton are making a huge name for themselves in the hardcore music scene. Check out their show on Thursday to be able to say you saw them before they were big.

BLACK LIPS | THE PHOENIX | THURSDAY 8PM
Atlanta Georgia natives the Black Lips bring their special brand of garage rock to the Phoenix on Thursday.

DANDY WARHOLS | LEE’S PALACE | THURSDAY 8:30PM
We all remember this band that put Portland Oregon on the music map before it was the mecca. See them Thursday and feel the nostalgia.

FUCKED UP | HORSESHOE TAVERN | FRIDAY 9pm
Our greatest hardcore punk exports bring Damian Abraham’s screaming vocals to the Horseshoe this weekend – expect these shows to be sold out and not for the faint of heart. Moshing will be in full effect at all times.

ZEUS | LEE’S PALACE | SATURDAY 9PM
The classic rock throwbacks bring their 70s sound to Lee’s on Saturday in support of their latest album, aptly titled Classic Zeus.

LILY ALLEN | SOUND ACADEMY | SUNDAY 7PM
The British pop singer is on her first North American tour in five years, so if you’re a fan, take the chance to see her on Sunday as another half decade might pass before you get the chance again.
