This Week In Toronto Music: September 15 to September 21, 2014

Toronto’s music scene can be pretty hectic.

In fact, often the only thing busier than the venues in this city is you. And since we know that a young professional (YP) lifestyle needs a good beat to back it up, we’re going to round up the best shows happening over the next seven days.

Every. Single. Week.

You don’t have to waste any more of your time searching for the next best concert—‘cause   every Monday you’ll find it right here.

THE WAR ON DRUGS / THE PHOENIX / MONDAY 8PM
If you only see one show this week—we recommend that it’s this one. Their latest release is one of the best albums our ears have heard in a very long time.

CHARLES BRADLEY / MASSEY HALL / MONDAY 8PM
If you’d rather spend tonight seated but still listen to some incredible music, you’ll want to be at Massey Hall for former James Brown impersonator turned NYC music legend Charles Bradley. We’ve been obsessed with him after watching the brilliant documentary on his story.

BURTON CUMMINGS / MASSEY HALL / THURSDAY 8PM
The Canadian icon of The Guess Who fame takes over Massey Hall on Thursday evening.

THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM / SOUND ACADEMY / FRIDAY 7PM
Spend your Friday at Sound Academy watching The Gaslight Anthem.

SHERYL CROW / MOLSON AMPHITHEATRE / SATURDAY 6PM
If all you wanna do is have some fun this weekend, Sheryl Crow will be sharing the stage with Rascall Flats and Gloriana.

SAM SMITH / THE GUVERNMENT / SUNDAY 7PM
We guarantee you’ll have Stay With Me in your head all week long after attending this show. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

THE WEEKND / MOLSON AMPHITHEATRE / SUNDAY 7PM
If you’re a fan of great mixtapes, Drake’s protégé takes over the Amphitheatre on Sunday evening.
