This Week in Toronto Music: October 27 to November 2, 2014

Toronto’s music scene can be pretty hectic.

In fact, often the only thing busier than the venues in this city is you. And since we know that a young professional (YP) lifestyle needs a good beat to back it up, we’re going to round up the best shows happening over the next seven days.

Every. Single. Week.

You don’t have to waste any more of your time searching for the next best concert – ‘cause every Monday you’ll find it right here.

SLOWDIVE | DANFORTH MUSIC HALL | TUESDAY 8:30PM
This English rock band has been around since 1989, now maintaining their cult status as an original indie band. Catch their shoegazey tunes on Tuesday night at the Danforth.

SHEEZER | LEE’S PALACE | THURSDAY 10:30PM
Everyone’s favourite all-female Weezer cover band returns to the stage for an early Halloween celebration at Lee’s. Don’t worry, they only cover the first two albums – your ears won’t be assaulted with any of Weezer’s latest songs.

CHRISSIE HYNDE | MASSEY HALL | THURSDAY 7PM
The legendary lead singer of The Pretenders will be filling Massey Hall with her original solo tunes on Thursday.

VANCE JOY | PHOENIX CONCERT THEATRE | SATURDAY 8PM
Aussie singer-songwriter Vance Joy brings his debut album Dream Your Life Away to the Phoenix on Saturday – guaranteed to help ease your post Halloween hangover.

USHER | AIR CANADA CENTRE | SUNDAY 7PM
His short-lived time as a judge on The Voice must have motivated him to get back on the road and milk the renewed spotlight. So if you’ve got it bad, don’t worry, you can catch Usher dance and sing the night away at the ACC on Sunday. Yeah.

THE 1975 | KOOL HAUS | SUNDAY 7PM
For those of you who won’t be spending the evening with Usher Raymond IV, the Manchester indie rockers bring their tunes to the Kool Haus for an early show on Sunday.
