This Week in Toronto Music: November 17 to 23, 2014

Toronto’s music scene can be pretty hectic.

In fact, often the only thing busier than the venues in this city is you. And since we know that a young professional (YP) lifestyle needs a good beat to back it up, we’re going to round up the best shows happening over the next seven days.

Every. Single. Week.

You don’t have to waste any more of your time searching for the next best concert – ‘cause every Monday you’ll find it right here.

BOB DYLAN | SONY CENTRE | MONDAY & TUESDAY 7PM
The living legend brings his revamped folk rock poetry to the Sony Centre for a two-night stand. Don’t expect it to sound like classic Dylan, though – he is famous these days for completely rearranging his songs to sound like a new song when played live.

INTERPOL | KOOL HAUS | TUESDAY 8PM
The indie rock band that defined the term back in its early glory days has reunited and will take the stage at the Kool Haus on Tuesday. So long as they only play songs from the first two killer albums, everyone will leave having had a great time.

DAMIEN RICE | DANFORTH MUSIC HALL | TUESDAY 7PM
Get ready to get all your feelings out on Tuesday at the Danforth. The Irish singer songwriter will try his hardest to make you cry.

JULIAN CASABLANCAS + THE VOIDS | KOOL HAUS | FRIDAY 7PM
With The Strokes bandmates making it very clear that they’ve struggled to work with Julian over the past few years, it should come as no surprise that he’s attached himself to a new band. We’re curious to check out how this new collaboration will sound live.

PERFECT PUSSY | THE GARRISON | FRIDAY 8PM
Part of the Not Dead Yet hardcore punk festival happening this weekend, punk rockers Perfect Pussy headline the stage at The Garrison. We’re huge fans of this talented hardcore band that features a badass female lead singer, for once.

MOIST | DANFORTH MUSIC HALL | SATURDAY 7PM
Saturday brings another 90s revival with CanCon staples Moist reuniting for a show at The Danforth. David Usher finally realized it’s time to put his solo efforts aside and cash in on our MuchMusic childhood nostalgia.
