This Week in Toronto Music: November 10 to November 16, 2014

Toronto’s music scene can be pretty hectic.

In fact, often the only thing busier than the venues in this city is you. And since we know that a young professional (YP) lifestyle needs a good beat to back it up, we’re going to round up the best shows happening over the next seven days.

Every. Single. Week.

You don’t have to waste any more of your time searching for the next best concert – ‘cause every Monday you’ll find it right here.

GRUFF RHYS | HORSESHOE TAVERN | MONDAY 8:30PM
The Welsh songwriter is known for his work with the Super Furry Animals, but he’ll be bringing his just-as-great solo work to the Horseshoe tonight.

ALT-J | KOOL HAUS | TUESDAY 8PM
English indie rockers alt-J hit the Kool Haus on Tuesday in celebration of their sophomore album This Is All Yours.

RYAN ADAMS | MASSEY HALL | WEDNESDAY 7PM
The brilliant singer-songwriter brings his tunes to Massey Hall. Maybe you should Come Pick Me Up.

TV ON THE RADIO | THE PHOENIX | WEDNESDAY 8PM
For some young professionals (YPs), TVOTR almost single-handedly defined the first decade of music in the new millennium. A genre-bending assortment of post-rock, electronica, avant-garde, and even doo-wop forever widened the landscapes within which artists felt confined to produce. Check it out.

THE ATARIS | LEE’S PALACE | FRIDAY 9PM
The alt rockers light up Lee’s on Friday, but we’re mostly excited for their opener, local greats Teenage Kicks.

ST. LUCIA | DANFORTH MUSIC HALL | SATURDAY 8PM
If you like the sound of this, then you should go see this band. It’s going to be fun.

PUP | LEE’S PALACE | SATURDAY 9PM
We couldn’t be prouder of the international success Toronto’s very own Pup has achieved over the past year. This return to Toronto is sure to be a huge pop punk party
