This Website Will Tell You the Future of the World. For Real.

The Future.

A spectacular, wondrous, and sometimes disastrous place that movies, TV, books, and Miss Cleo have been trying to tell us about for years.

Nobody knows exactly what’s going to happen, but it’s an interesting topic – enough so that some people got together and dedicated an entire website to it.

The site in question is called Futuretimeline.net and it’s an aggregation of all the predictions made based on viable science, economics, politics, and other methodologies about the future of our planet (they left Miss Cleo out).

The predictions in question span from the present all the way to 1 million years in the future – although the highest number of posts with detail are obviously for the more near future, you know, when we still haven’t uploaded our consciousness’ to the collective mind machine.

The predictions are fascinating, and each comes with its own detailed entry that gives you information on the basis of the prediction, as well as sources and other relevant facts.

Just check out some of these:

2019 – The first manned outpost beyond the Moon begins assembly | Bionic eyes with high resolution are commercially available | US copyright begins to expire, starting with all works from 1923

2031 – Much of Bangkok is being abandoned due to flooding | Global reserves of lead are running out |Stem cell pharmacies are commonplace | Married couples are a minority | Chocolate has become a rare luxury

2070-2079 – 5-year survival rates for liver cancer are approaching 100% | The Green Wall of China is complete | The first space elevator is becoming operational | The ozone layer has fully recovered

2100-2149 – Human intelligence is being vastly amplified by AI | Man made control of earthquakes and tsunamis | Mind uploading enters mainstream society | Large-scale civilian settlement of the Moon is underway

These are just some of the hundreds of specific predictions you can read about. It’s a pretty cool resource for learning about what the world might become.

Just think about it – because when you’re living on the moon with your bionic eyes eating your rare chocolate bar while planning a tsunami, you’ll want to be able to say to yourself “I knew this was coming…”
