This Resort in Chile Has the World’s Largest Pool (Hint: It Looks Like a Lake)

We’re firm believers that no pool could possibly replace the wavy, salty goodness of the ocean. 

Until we saw this thing. Now our world is turned upside down and we don’t know what to believe. 

Chile’s San Alfonso del Mar resort is home to the world’s largest pool, covering 20 acres and boasting just over a kilometre in length. It’s filled with over 66 million gallons of filtered seawater and features a deep end with a 35-metre vertical. 

It seriously wouldn’t be wrong to call it a lake.
