The Canada Border Services Agency is currently hiring officers. The starting salary for trainees is $64,234 a year, and goes up to $82,411. You even get to choose from several locations.
Interested? Apply here. Then wait until a “resourcing need” arises and complete an 8-step selection process. The selection process entails: An officer trainee entrance exam (OTEE), interview, firearms safety courses, physical evaluation, second language evaluation, psychological assessment, medical exam, and secret security clearance.
You’ll then be invited to a four-week online training course, following by four and a half months of on-site training in Rigaud, Quebec. Then it’s all cash and guns, baby! After Rigaud, it’s off one of the Agency’s Ports of Entry for paid on-the-job development as a trainee.
