This Amazing New NYC Subway Station Will Make Every Canadian Jealous

Take note, Spadina station: This is what a proper metro stop looks like. 

Sure, New York’s newest subway extension is delayed, but here in Toronto we’d be more than happy to wait it out if it meant actually receiving something of value in return. You see, we’re used to delays… but we’re never really sure what the hold up is.

The new streetcars are pretty cool, I guess…

New York City, for its patience, will be rewarded with a seven-train stop at 34th and Hudson complete with a beautiful street-level park, a chic facade above ground, Gaudi-esque ceiling art, a bright, modern concourse, presumably functioning escalators, and agent booths that don’t look like they were inspired by Guantanamo Bay. 

Oh, and it’s on budget – which is just insane to us. (Otherwise, Union, we beg of you to be great).
