This Amazing Business Traveller Took His Taxi Driver to a Theme Park Because He Couldn’t Afford it

Everything was supposed to be routine for Dubai cabbie Shakiha: drive a tourist to Abu Dhabi’s majestic Ferrari World theme park, wait in the car until their fun was had, and make the two-hour journey back after.

But when Irish business traveller Liam Murphy got into a conversation with Shakiha that revealed the taxi driver, an Indian immigrant, couldn’t afford the $69 price of admission, he invited him along for the ride.

It was the first time Shakiha had been inside the park during the 14 years he’s made the two-hour journey between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Liam shared the experience on his Facebook page:

I’m over here for a week with EMC carrying out MVT (Manufacturing Validation Testing) to set up a new distributor for a new product called Vspex Blue. So I’m travelling by myself.

Every time he (Shakiha) drops passengers off he stays in the car for the day. I decided to bring him along for the laugh. He was great entertainment!

Liam took Shakiha on his first-ever rollercoaster ride, the 240km/h Formula Rossa, as well as to check out the Ferrari showroom. Shakiha also served as an admirable photographer.

They capped off the experience with a casual slice.

Now, imagine what this kind of act could do to alleviate some of the tension between the public and taxi drivers in Canada during the ongoing Uber War.
