This 41-Year-Old Vault-Killing Olympic Gymnast is #FitnessGoals

There’s an athlete in Rio who is proving that age really is just a number.

The world is going crazy over 41-year-old gymnast Oksana Chusovitina, who is competing for Uzbekistan. She absolutely nailed it on the vault yesterday with a score of 14.999.

The Olympic veteran is competing in her 7th Olympic Games and is the oldest woman ever to have done so.

She is currently competing against women who are the same age as her 17-year-old son.

Chusovitina first competed in the 1992 Olympic games in Barcelona, and hasn’t missed a Summer Olympic Games since (did I mention she had a baby through all of that?).

She will compete in the vault finals on August 14th.

Chusovitina won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Games, then competing for Germany.

Between a team of refugees, these triplets who didn’t start training until they were 24 years old, and Chusovitina, it’s certainly an inspiring Games.
