This $20 Innovation is the Solution to Your Macbook’s Greatest Flaw

For all the great things Apple has designed, its Macbook charger is not one of them. In fact, we’d go so far as to say they’re pretty damn terrible.

Protruding almost four inches, they’re like the unavoidable zits on an otherwise fresh faced wall. They’re unsightly at best, and the reason your entire room arrangement is off at worst. The most irritating thing about them is there’s no conceivable reason they need to run perpendicular to the wall beyond being a nuisance.

Well, Apple, you’ve finally crossed a couple of people who won’t just complain about your nonsensical chargers – they’ll do something about it.

That something is Blockhead, a side-facing plug for Apple charges.

The innovative bit of blue plastic snaps on to your existing Apple charger and allows it to sit flat against the wall. This isn’t just about being able to push for couch a few inches closer to the wall either – Blockhead brings the adapter’s centre of mass closer to the wall, which means less tension on the plug and less likelihood that it falls out when slightly provoked.

Blockhead is 1.4 inches of less inconvenience than the supplied power cord and 2.4 inches of less inconvenience than the standard 60w power adapter plug.
