#theSIXagainsthunger Is Making a Selfie Worth Something This Holiday Season

It’s not even December, and we’re already freaking out about how much there is to do before the C-word is upon us (Christmas, in case you were wondering).

So let’s pause, take a step back from our online shopping, and remember what the holiday season is all about. Proving that selfies don’t have to be selfish, #theSIXagainsthunger, has come up with a way to give truly back this holiday season.

The group of dedicated young professionals and entrepreneurs in Toronto have launched their Santa hat selfie campaign, to help raise money for those in need. So give yourself a warm fuzzy feeling by donning a silly hat and taking a stand against hunger this holiday season.

Simply take a selfie with a Santa hat on, nominate 3 people to do the same, and make a donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank page. (And don’t forget the hashtag, #theSIXagainsthunger.)

Following the trend of No Make-Up Selfies and the Ice Bucket Challenge, which proved hugely successful in raising cash for charity, #theSIXagainsthunger will be hoping they can do the same this Christmas.

So don’t be shy Toronto –  let’s get snapping.
