These Are the Most Googled Products in G20 Countries

We think it’s time to re-cast stereotypes of countries based on their Google search activity.

When cost-estimating website Fixr.com created a bunch of insightful maps to illustrate the most Googled items of cost in every country of the world – based on an autocomplete analysis of ‘How much does ___ cost in [x country]’ – we felt like we were getting some deeply meaningful knowledge of our globalized world.

We were interested in what G20 nations had on their wishlist – how citizens of the world’s biggest economies like to splash their cash. Aside from just one country – Mauritania, which is interested in the cost of slaves – G20 nations were also responsible for all searches most appropriate under the aptly labelled ‘WTF’ category.
