There’s a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reboot in the Works with Will Smith as a Producer

And I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there, I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air…again.

That’s right, according to TVLine.com, Will Smith is working on a reboot of the –  can we already say classic? – 90s TV show that helped launch him into becoming a full-on global superstar.

There isn’t a lot of info yet, but “According to multiple sources, Smith’s production shingle, Overbrook Entertainment, is in the very early stages of developing a present-day Fresh Prince reboot that puts a new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of the original series.”

Smith is set to be Executive Producer on the series, though no one is sure if this will be a follow up to the original (Smith would clearly have to be in it then, no?) or a complete re-start with fresh actors.

Either way, we’re basically like this right now:
