On Thursday, September 26, Vancouver TheatreSports™ League (VTSL) starts a fresh season of improv action with its brand new show, TheatreSports™ ThrowDown, a tournament of laughs with competing teams-of-two vying for comic supremacy. Featuring six wildly different duos, including hair metal rockers, Scotsmen, nerdy scientists, clowns, pageant queens and construction workers, the 90-minute show promises plenty of funny material. During the season, VTSL players will take on multiple roles, meaning that no two nerdy scientists or Scotsmen will be the same!
While audience participation is always encouraged at VTSL shows, ThrowDown takes it one step further and invites guests to join teams onstage. Selected audience members will be kitted out in the same costumes as their fellow team members, be it kilts, prom dresses, lab coats, leather jackets, red noses or hard hats.
