Elite Traveler – which bills itself as “the private jet lifestyle magazine” – just released a survey of the world’s best restaurants, as decided by the world’s richest people.
Sadly, only one on the list is Canadian.
But hey, we’ll take what we can get (we guess).
Montreal’s infamous Toqué! and its chef Normand Laprise made the cut, ranking at #70 out of the 100 restaurants. The restaurant has been a staple for 20 years, but was a new addition to this year’s list.
As for the coveted #1 spot, it goes to Chicago’s Alinea for the fourth consecutive year.
The publication’s announcement comes in advance of the World’s 50 Best Restaurant awards, which will be announced June 1.
Here are the top 10 restaurants:
Alinea, Chicago, USA
El Celler de can Roca, Girona, Spain
Azurmendi, Larrabetzu, Spain
Eleven Madison Park, New York City, USA
The Fat Duck, Bray, UK
Robuchon au Dome, Macua, China
Per Se, New York City, USA
La Pergola, Rome, Italy
Le Bernardin, New York City, USA
Osteria Francescana, Modena, Italy

Now, it’s time to start checking them off your restaurant bucket list.
