We don’t think you need us to tell you that you’re living in one of the most diverse cities in the world (even though we just did). Or, that it’s up to you to embrace it (even though we just did, again).
How can I embrace my city’s diversity you might ask?
On Friday, October 17th, you’re invited to join the ROM’s Friday Night Live as they present “Africa Alive.” Experience DJ Magic Flowz, live performances by Muhtadi & the World Drummers featuring Amara Kante and Guitarist Adrian X. Or if you’re more of the jazz type, you can check out Shi Wisdom or visit the U of T Jazz Music Program.
And if we still haven’t captured your attention…
You can check out the Bakuba Catwalk: a video installation in collaboration with a Nigerian-Canadian designer. As well, there will be Mustafa The Poet and Kwama Young (who usually invites all dancers to jam out). Not to mention, the Ford and NOW Magazine Lounges, the various gallery activities, and numerous food vendors.
