The Microsoft Collaboration Index: How Well Do You Play With Others?

Every millennial knows how important it is to be productive.

From texting while walking, to Skyping while working, we know how to get it done. And that other thing. And that last thing, too.

And we do it all at once. ‘Cause being efficient is as engrained in our day-to-day lives as FOMO. Not that we’re ever actually missing out (again, being connected helps with that).

Which is why we’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Microsoft for the upcoming Notable Awards. After all, the tech giant lives and breathes productivity. Tech is, quite literally, the foundation of what they do. So it should come as no surprise that their CEO Satya Nadella recently had this to say:

Microsoft is the productivity and platform company for the mobile-first and cloud-first world. We will reinvent productivity to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.

See what we mean?

Since Notable has always been about inspiring and empowering millennials to live incredible lives, it makes us extremely happy to partner with a company that isn’t settling for anything less than changing how the world works.

Part of living a Notable life is excelling professionally and part of it is living a healthy and charitable life. In other words, we believe in balance. And in order to attain that balance we need to be able to be as productive as possible.

Every. Single. Day.

So we asked Microsoft to put together a Productivity and Collaboration Index for us. One that delves into how you’re using your devices, assesses your technological productivity, showcases your collaborative strengths, and then gives you a score out of 100 so you know where you stand. Of course, where you stand will also tell you how much you also stand to improve when you integrate more technological efficiencies into your daily life.

We’ve since given the Index to our Notable Award nominees so you can now see where they land on the productive and collaborative scales.

While we by no means think you should be obsessed with social media, our years of experience and data strongly suggest that many of the most successful millennials enjoy a healthy relationship with technology that allows them to stay ahead of the curve. They’ve enabled themselves without becoming completely dependent.
