The Fashion World is Mad for Plaid This Spring

It’s official: The fashion industry has checked plaid off as this season’s most appropriate pattern. From preppy to grunge, this is one print that’s taking over for Spring/Summer 2014.

Instead of opting for the traditional take on tartan, women’s collections such as Costello Tagliapietra, Tadashi Shoji and Rodarte featured warm-weather appropriate fabrics, cheery colours and feminine silhouettes.

Men’s collections seemed to have a more polished take on the trend. From Louis Vuitton to Berluti, David Hart and Ralph Lauren, plaid primarily emerged in collections in the form of suits and jackets this spring.

Perfect for work or weekend wear, we definitely approve of this easily adaptable trend.
