On November 14, you’ll get to witness the most impressive moon in living memory as Earth’s beloved permanent satellite will be closer to us than it has been since 1948.
The orbit of the moon is expected to line up with the sun and the Earth – an effect called perigee-syzygy – which will make it appears far bigger. This is what they call a ‘supermoon’.
For those thinking, ‘meh, I’ll check out the next supermoon’, just know that the moon won’t be this close to earth again until 2034.
