The Best Intersection in Toronto to Start a Bar Hop As Voted by You

And the winner is…

Dundas/Ossington.

Although this wasn’t a blowout at 36.7% of the votes, we’d be lying if we said we didn’t see this coming. The only thing this area doesn’t have is something hyper-swanky, although The Saint, Boehmer, and Union are certianly no slouches.

And realistically, if you’re not sure exactly what you want out of the night, this broad but welcoming end of the spectrum is probably your best bet: Dakota, Opera Bob’s, Churchill, The Doc Ellis and now just west of Dufferin on the north side of Dundas, a new instant favourite, The Derby. Then there’s the rest of the Ossington strip with the The Painted Lady, Reposado, The Ossington, The Foxley Bistro & Bar and perhaps the best spot in the West to start a Sunday Funday, Bellwoods Brewery.

Just missing the top spot on the podium with 27.8% of the votes is the always-improving intersection of King & Portland. Gusto 101, Bier Market, Buca, Home of the Brave, The Keg are all right there. If you want to get nostalgic, you have 2 Cats, and if you want to get a little clubby, you have Uniun NightclubWeslodge, Patria and Brant House replacement The Citizen are just a bit east, so there is no shortage of options and it’s pretty easy to get everywhere from here.

There was a significant dip to third place with College & Bathurst only getting 8.9% of the votes, Queen & Spadina barely in 4th with 7.8%, and Bloor & Bathurst with a respectable 5th place finish and 5% of the votes.

Below you’ll find a colourful coaster breaking down all the votes. Take a look, and if you disagree with what you see, let us know in the comment section. Or, next time, just crawl to your computer and vote…
