As 2014 nears its end, we’ve taken a look back at some of our favourite fashionable fellows.
From athletes (Victor Cruz, Henrik Lundqvist) to actors (Eddie Redmayne), and musicians (Tinie Tempah, Harry Styles) to relatives of royalty (James Middleton), here are our choices for the top 10 most stylish men of 2014.
1. Victor Cruz
New York Giants’ standout wide receiver Victor Cruz is a lifelong fashion aficionado. We love how he combines casual and formal wear by pairing sneakers with his suits.
2. Henrik Lundqvist
NHL player Henrik Lundqvist has become one of the most stylish men in sports. This Rangers’ goalie sports everything from man jewellery to velvet jackets. Henrik always looks finely tailored and well put together.
3. Eddie Redmayne
English actor Eddie Redmayne appeared alongside Cara Delevingne in Burberry’s 2012 ad campaign, which drew him fashion followers around the world. Eddie claims he feels most comfortable in a suit. With his easy, slouchy demeanor, his freckles, and bedhead, his style gives off a mysterious charm.
4. Oliver Cheshire
English male model Oliver Cheshire became an overnight success as the face for Calvin Klein. He’s also modeled for Dolce & Gabbana, Vivienne Westwood, Gap, and many more. So it’s no wonder that he’s become such a big part of the fashion world. Oliver’s love of fashion has opened doors for him to report on Men’s Fashion Week for GQ magazine and he also writes a fashion blog in his spare time.
5. Eugene Tsai Tong
Style Director for DETAILS Magazine, Eugene Tsai Tong has a love for sneakers and a white tee and pulls off the most easygoing and unexpected of outfits. He directs the fashion office at one of America’s most-read men’s magazines and styles for tailored streetwear label, Public School.
6. Tinie Tempah
We’ve seen artist, producer, and songwriter Tinie Tempah develop his style over the years. From his collaboration with designer Maharishi to his own streetwear brand, Disturbing London, his presence in the entertainment industry has helped him to also be recognized for his unique fashion sense.
7. Brooklyn Beckham
When your father is David Beckham and your mother is Victoria Beckham, how can you not be a budding fashion icon? Brooklyn has been gaining ground in the fashion scene by attending shows during New York Fashion week with his parents and is forging his own way into the modeling world – having already graced the cover of the Spring/Summer 2014 issue of Man About Town. Last month he also landed an editorial in the New York Times Style Magazine.
8. Jack Guinness
Male model and front row fixture, Jack Guinness is most known for his dapper personal style and for modeling for brands like Paul Smith, Barbour, and Nicole Farhi. His timeless style has won him well-earned inclusion on our list.
9. Harry Styles
The One Direction singer may just be the most stylish boy band member of all time. With his print shirts, bandanas, layering technique, and rock star essentials (not to mention his last name), he had to make our list.
10. James Middleton
The Duchess of Cambridge’s brother, James Middleton has been recently seen sporting a rugged, bushy beard, but his sense of style is classic, polite, and well put together. His sister made our Best Dressed Women’s list so fashion must run in their bloodline.
