Terry Fox’s Cross-Country Run Honoured in New ‘Heritage Minute’ Episode

Every few months, Historica Canada blesses our great nation with a new Heritage Minute, a 60-second clip that commemorates a significant moment in Canadian history.

Episodes have been released since 1991 and include moments like James Naismith’s invention of basketball, the Halifax explosion, and the Underground Railroad. Hell, even Drake’s had his time to shine.

Yesterday, Historica Canada released its latest production, commemorating second-greatest Canadian of all time Terry Fox and his commitment to finding a cure for cancer.

While most Heritage Minutes offer some sort of opportunity for parody, this one’s just inspiring as hell:

Terry Fox Runs take place nationwide and around the world – from Iraq to Zimbabwe – this weekend to raise money for cancer research and treatment.
