Teleport: This App Will Pick Your Friends Up and Deliver Them to You

In this day and age, we like to have everything delivered to our doorstep. And fast.

Pizza, wine, dry cleaning, books, weed – whatever it is, there’s probably an app out there that’ll make sure it finds its way into your hands. One thing’s been missing on-demand, though, and it’s pretty damn important: friends.

Until now.

Teleport allows you to bring your friends to your current location through Uber’s API and can be downloaded anywhere Uber operates. The ride is, of course, paid for by you, and friends can be delivered anywhere within a 100-mile radius. They’ll be able to see their location and track the journey, which eliminates some of the sketch factor.

Oh, you don’t want to come out tonight? Too bad, there’s a car waiting outside.

Not sure this is what American writer Charles Fort had in mind when he first coined the term teleportation in 1931, but it’s probably about as close as we’ll come for now.

Peer pressure just stepped up its game.
