Take the Cottage to Yonge-Dundas Square for the Toronto Cider Festival

If you like cider, you should keep Saturday, August 27 totally free.

Back for its second year, Toronto Cider Festival returns to take over Yonge-Dundas Square with a celebration of all things fermented apple juice.

The event will feature a variety of refreshing ciders by some of the top producers from across Canada and abroad, including The County Cider Company, Magners Irish Cider, and Angry Orchard Hard Cider.

Think: 20 different cider companies with more than 40 different types to satisfy every palette.

You don’t have to feel bad about passing up that cottage invite, either – the event’s cottage theme will have no shortage of Muskoka chairs and music.

Guests can choose to attend either the Day (11:30am-4pm) or Night (6pm-10:30pm) session. Each ticket includes four sample tokens and a commemorative sampling mug.

To take it up a notch, you can opt for the VIP session, which gets you exclusive early admission to the evening session, 10 sample tokens, and access to a food and cider pairing.

To soak up that sweet cider, there will be a variety of comforting food options on site, including Wood Oven Pizza by “Aristocaters,” and food trucks like “The Mustache Burger,” “Pili Pili,” and “Snakatak.”

The festival will also feature special entertainment, by ONQ, including live music by bands like Stereo Flavour and Sevens, one of Toronto’s best DJs – DJ D-Smooth, and a Flair Cider Cocktail Competition presented by Angry Orchard.

Last but certainly not least, there will be some amazing contests and prize getaways, like a cider-filled trip to Ireland courtesy of Magners and a weekend getaway to Prince Edward County with a special tasting experience courtesy of The County Cider Company.

Official sponsors of the festival include County Cider, Angry Orchard and Magners
