SuWu Introduces New Menu With a Healthier Twist

Our favorite hip-hop eatery on the Main hosted a media launch of their new menu last week and, being big fans of the SaintWoods boys (Nathan and Zach), we couldn’t wait to see what these two innovators were up to now.

Known for their yummy comfort food, SuWu made a smart move in expanding their dinner options to satisfy every customer while keeping the health-conscious eater in mind.

Worry not, Head Chef Chuck Lefebvre re-assured us that the SuWu menu favorites will still be available, such as the signature mac n cheese grilled cheese, homemade pogos, poutine, ribs, rosemary fries and SuWu’s cheeseburger, which have all become synonymous with the SuWu name.

The freshened up menu includes new comfort-style mains, a fresh cocktail list and a brand new appetizer section with some lighter options consisting of fresh market tartars, salads of the day, a soup of the day, avocado, tapenade and hummus spreads and a charcuterie platter.

“We are committed to ensuring our customers have the best possible SuWu experience. We especially make it a priority to have all of our dishes made from scratch using fresh, locally-grown products with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients,” says Nathan Gannage, Co-owner of SuWu.

The latest menu also includes new delicious mains such as the hanger steak with blue cheese compound butter, aligot puree and green beans, fried chicken with collard greens and creamy polenta – this one was our favorite – the catch of the day, and fresh pasta of the moment.

Make sure you pop by, hang out and try the new grub, especially if you still haven’t been. The hip-hop vibe, Brooklyn-esque design and menu consistently makes SuWu one of our regular go-tos. Did we mention they are open til 3am?
