Stylish Celebrations at espace d. First Anniversary Soiree

Last week we had the chance to pop by one of Yaletown’s most stylish home decor boutiques, espace d., to help celebrate their 1st Anniversary.

Welcomed by their PR representative and offered a Kir Royale upon arrival, we were escorted into the stunning gallery-esque space that is chock full of artistic surprises worthy of either the home space or dreamscape. We spied plenty to add to our Valentine’s Day ‘wish list’ (hint hint), such as the tiny and elegant showcase boxes in coloured glass and aluminum by Scandinavian designer Iittala, as well as a Cousu de Fil Blanc box set of organic soaps, black collection (spicy coffee, seaweed & black tea).

After noshing on a few hors d’houvres, courtesy of Lazy Gourmet Catering (Chef Brad Hendrickson was recently a featured YP with us), we made our way over to congratulate the boutique’s owner – French-born interior designer Pierre Derreumaux – who had been graciously greeting guests who’d begun to stream into the space.

Always a friendly and approachable host, Pierre shared with us a few details about what Vancouverites can expect from espace d. moving forward; more stunning art pieces from local and international artists (some of whom were on hand for the anniversary event). Stemming from a desire to showcase a mix of works knitting together both Derreumaux’s own international design know-how with global travel influences, visitors to the shop can expect more new surprises…

See what’s now in store (well-timed for any spring cleaning and redesign you are doing on your own) at their 1108 Richards Street location in Yaletown.
