Spring 2014 Trend: Bermuda Shorts

After a few too many summers of seeing daisy dukes and too-short shorts, spring’s hemlines have lengthened. Appearing in the collections of Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Mulberry and more, the Bermuda short trend has taken over the runways. Whether produced in silky or crisp fabrics, high-waist or low cut, tailored or baggy, both mid-thigh and below-the-knee styles are making appearances in every direction.

Pairing a matching floral jacket and crisp white blouse like Cara Delevigne wore on the Mulberry runway adds flare to a business-oriented look. Kourtney Kardashian combined white shorts with a peplum top to add shape. For years, Alexa Chung has been seen sporting many different styles to maintain her typically polished, tomboy aesthetic. More petite frames are recommended to wear a tailored, above the knee style or don longer styles with strappy sandals and a crop top to highlight curves and create femininity.

Giving you coverage while keeping you cool in the hot spring and summer months, Bermuda shorts are ideal to add to your wardrobe for the office, on the weekend, and even to an after-work event.
