Sip & Savour at the Fairmont Waterfront

Last week, Notable attended a rather different take on afternoon tea at Vancouver’s swanky Fairmont Waterfront Hotel for some sipping and sampling – of wine, that is. This quaint event offered an escape from the office and helped launch Fairmont Waterfront’s Sip & Savour program, hosted in their lush Heron’s West Coast Bar.

We were thrilled to meet the team behind popular BC winery, Blasted Church wines, testing our vino-speak on their newly appointed winemaker, Mark Wendenberg, as he happily led us through an impressive line-up: cheeky labels and all.

Invited media and guests had the chance to mix and mingle as they noshed their way through an array of locally produced cheeses, courtesy of The Farm House Natural Cheeses, paired with house-made chutney and honey (harvested on the Fairmont Waterfront’s rooftop herb garden and aviary). 900 Canada Place Way, Vancouver, 604-691-1991.
