With plans to hire more than 150 software developers, data engineers, and project managers in the upcoming months, Canadian tech company Shopify recently moved its operations to the Aimia Tower near Square-Victoria in Montréal. For the occasion, Founder and CEO Tobi Lütke, and Jean-Michel Lemieux, SVP of Engineering, engaged in an uplifting fireside chat for staff and attendees.
Last time we visited Shopify was at their previous office on boulevard Saint-Laurent. At that time, they had a staff of about 30. It is therefore super exciting to see that kind of growth and investment happen on the Montreal tech scene.
