Samsung is Apparently Working on a Phone With a Flexible, Folding Screen. What!?

As far as smartphone screens go, there’s not that much left to innovate – or so we thought.

According Samsung fan blog Sam Mobile, a trusted source for leaking accurate tech gossip, the South Korean company is ready to release a phone with a foldable display as early as January 2016.

The primary source of the leak, a Chinese tipster, released details of Samsung’s ‘Project Valley‘, which would “see a display placed on a mesh-like material with the hinge then allowing the user to fold the display, making a “valley” in the process of closing or opening it.”

The vice president of Samsung Display’s business strategic team, Lee Chang-hoon, first hinted at a dual screen device that will support multiple gestures for switching between the two screens in 2014. The same configuration is reportedly being tested on tablet as well.

As if one screen to govern our life wasn’t enough…
