Ryan Reynolds’ Brutally Honest Tweets About Parenting Are Hilarious

Of course you love your friend’s babies.

But it’s only human to be sick of seeing them post endless pictures of their kids being ADORABLE (read: annoying) and never missing the opportunity to declare their undying love for them on social media.

So have courage, because Ryan Reynolds has been tweeting about his daughter – and it’s amazing.

With not a single biased, humble dad brag among them, the 39-year-old Vancouverite has tweeted a collection of inspired sentiments about his daughter with Blake Lively, James Reynolds. And it’s guaranteed to make you giggle.

The series of sarcastic tweets, which will appeal to the less life-affirming among us, navigates the world of parenting with great aplomb. Although he’s been chronicling the highs and lows of life as a new parent for a while now, it’s only recently that Tumblr user, Lotte brought it everyone’s attention by posting the actor’s wonderful pearls of wisdom.

Wickedly sarcastic, and at times dark, the Deadpool actor discusses his daughter’s “garbage” art work, his self-penned nursery rhymes (that old classic, “Everybody You Know Will Eventually Die”) and his plans to tattoo his one-and-a-half-year-old.

It’s a refreshing change from the nauseating posts we’re used to seeing online that show only the sunshine and light of parenthood. And despite a pretty phenomenal gene pool, Ryan is far from falling over himself to declare their daughter the next Einstein/Picasso/Naomi Campbell.

It’s not the first time his child-rearing techniques have made us laugh – watching Reynolds attempt to put an IKEA crib together was one of the best things on the internet last year.

Blake and Ryan recently announced that they’re expecting their second child, and we can’t wait to see even more hilarious tweets from the parenting dug out.

We await the parenting manual eagerly.
