Robin Williams Napa Valley Estate Finally Sells For $18.1 Million

Robin Williams didn’t just leave a legacy as one of the most beloved comedians and actors of our time.

He also left behind some pretty sweet real estate.

But despite one of them being a beautiful Napa Valley estate located in the Mayacamas Mountains, it’s taken four years for it to finally sell since it first went on the market back in 2012.

According to co-listing agent Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Previews International, the residence of the late comedian has finally sold for $18.1 million – almost half the amount Williams wanted for it two years before he died.

Robin Williams built his home in the early 2000s and it was first listed on the market at $35 million with Sotheby’s International Realty.

Following his suicide in 2014 the price was cut more than once until eventually, as the Wall Street Journal Reported, French winemakers Alfred and Melanie Tesseron of Chateau Pontet-Canet purchased the 650-acre estate.

The couple plan to make wine from the 18.4 acre vineyards, which produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc grapes, despite it not containing a winery in its current state.

The property includes a 20,000 square foot Mediterranean-style house with five bedrooms, six full and five half-baths.

The estate also boasts an infinity pool, a tennis court, spring-fed pong, horse riding trails, and guesthouse.
