You know what time it is? It’s Real Housewives of Toronto recap time! We’re already at episode 4 and getting deep into the drama. Last week was Joan’s giant booze-filled Dock Party at her beautiful Muskoka property (someone please send us an invite to go to the next one), where we learned of Kara’s plans on throwing a dinner party on Roxy’s bday. Not cute Kara, not cute… Let’s dive into this week’s drama!
The ladies are still having a glamorous time in Muskoka. Episode 4 starts off with Roxy, Grego, Joan & Jana going paddle boarding. Roxy is worried about getting her hair wet because she just got a blowout and you have to fly someone out to get a blowout up in Muskoka.
The ladies chill on the lake and laugh about how they aren’t ready for Roxy’s bday as they’re still recovering from Joan’s party. Grego, Joan & Jana say they’re on Kara’s side now cus she was chill enough at the party but Roxy is still bummed out and skeptical, seeing how Kara is throwing a party on Roxy’s birthday.
Ann meets up with Kara & her son to go fishing. Ann’s look for the day is “couture fishing hooker!” Kara doesn’t get Ann’s jokes and instead yells at her to be more still and stop jigging but Ann can’t stop jigging because she is a jigger. While Ann is unimpressed, Kara catches a fish and gossips that Joan’s dock party had sex tents.
Roxy takes Ann out for lunch as a thank you for hosting her. The two new besties discuss how Kara was going to throw a birthday party for Roxy but then Kara canceled, yet is still throwing a party on the same day. Shady. “Perhaps it’s a surprise party for me and I don’t know,” Roxy giggles. Something’s telling us it’s not…
Speaking of Kara, she meets up with Joan at the library which Kara has ties to through her husband. Together, they find out more history about Joan’s new island and they have a “Muskoka moment!’
Ann holds a brunch for her family and tries to get her husband to eat something green. Later, she takes her dog Emma jet skiing and it’s actually adorable.
It’s Roxy’s birthday and Kara is stressed for her dinner party. Her son reminds her of the time she tried to cook thanksgiving dinner and almost killed everyone. Did we mention Kara is stressed?
Joan meets up with Jana and Grego and the trio of skinny dipping babes go over their secret code hand signals for “stop talking” & “stop drinking” which is actually smart and amazing, but less effective in action. They hop on Joan’s boat and head over to Kara’s cottage.
Kara’s dinner party commences and she’s gone all the way with signed fancy cookbooks & special cheese flown in from France. She’s also totally stolen Roxy’s party theme idea and it’s very awkward. Kara doesn’t even toast to Roxy’s birthday… eek!
Jana says happy bday and Kara plays like she didn’t even know it was Roxy’s bday, but do we believe her? Ann doesn’t, and decides she wants to throw an actual surprise birthday for Roxy. Bless her fashionable soul. Kara apologizes to Roxy and the dinner portion of the dinner party gets going.
Everyone gets hammered (especially Joan) and Kara gets annoyed. The dinner party ends with fireworks (fancy!) but then Kara kicks everyone out. She’s such a party pooper.
The next morning, Joan hosts a brunch for Grego, Jana & Kara. Kara’s pissed off but shows it by bringing a pie. She’s shocked that the rest of the girls aren’t embarrassed about being hungover and oh yeah Joan left her panties behind too. Kara’s revenge? She invites Joan, Grego & Jana for some water spots knowing how hungover they are!
Meanwhile, Ann and Roxy recap Kara’s party. Roxy feels like Kara’s apology is empty, given the actions of the evening. They fly back to Toronto in need of their hairstylists & more outfits.
Back to Kara’s revenge, she gets Joan, Grego & Jana on the large inflated “water weenie” strategically taking the least bouncy spot, hoping the hungover gals spew their brains out. Her plan fails as the hungover ladies love it and aren’t even mad when everyone falls in the water, while Kara hurts herself. What can we say? Karma’s a bitch Kara.
