Estiatorio Volos places as much importance on service and warm hospitality as it does on cuisine. Their menu is comprised of only the freshest local ingredients, including local produce, superior cuts of meat and a great selection of fresh fish delivered daily.
We chose to include this hot spot in the financial district on our list of Winterlicious recommendations for its versatility in accommodating any young professional crowd, whether it be a romantic date, large group of friends or birthday celebration. Estiatorio Volos truly is a toast to Greek cuisine, despite its location a few kilometres west of the Danforth.
To start, we’d recommend an octopus dish, either the grilled Moroccan with melitzanosalata and fig balsamic glaze or the calamari with cherry tomatoes, capers, lemon, olive oil and oregano. Consider following that up with a fresh Ontario lamb burger, topped with roasted red pepper, arugula, goat cheese, oregano and paired with Kefalotyri fries. For a lighter option, they offer an excellent seafood salad featuring generous amounts of wild Pacific salmon, halibut, scallops, tiger prawn quinoa and wild arugula.
