Winterlicious Favourite: Boiler House

Boiler House provides the perfect reason to venture to the Distillery District in the winter months as they participate in Winterlicious 2012. The Boiler House is a no-fail venue of choice among young professionals for everything from business meetings and dining to throwing a memorable party or event. The open, soaring space boasts exposed beams and raw wood reclaimed from its original Gooderham and Worts Distillery predominate, 25-foot ceilings, an unmatched 22-foot wine rack and even an overhead jazz trio. A massive bar and seating on two levels makes your chances of securing a last-minute reservation a little easier too. A favourite piece of dining real estate among notable YP couples are the coveted “snog booths,” the pedestal-style enclosure that allows for a private romantic dinner for two.

The cuisine is contemporary with a distinctly Canadian flare and boasts fresh fish from Canada’s oceans, steaks and meats from Ontario to the Alberta grasslands and locally farmed vegetables as often as the seasons allow. Executive Chef Andre Walker uses only the best in aged meats and the freshest vegetables and seafood available. Boiler House’s famous Sunday brunch includes live Jazz and features an upscale buffet with highlights including a roast station, gourmet waffle station and an Omelet station.
