Report Reveals Which Canadian Cities See the Most UFOs

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a … UFO?

Reports show Quebec leads the country in sightings of unidentified flying objects. Yes, aliens have officially chosen the Quebec skyways as their main place to fly.

According to a Winnipeg-based research group Ufology, Quebec leads the nation in UFO sightings. There were approximately 3-4 UFO sightings daily in Canada last year – a total of 1,267. Shockingly, that isn’t a record as Canadians are all too familiar with the unworldly objects.

2015 was the year with the second most UFO sightings in Canada, sitting right behind 2012. Yes, the year the world was supposed to end. Coincidence? Maybe so, but whatever, or whoever is flying these aircrafts, they sure like to make an appearance.

According to the 2015 report, Quebec accounted for 35 per cent of all Canadian UFO sightings, a drastic increase from previous years. This is a change of approximately 5-15 per cent from previous years. It looks like Canadians could be giving Nevada 51 runs for their money.

Reasons to explain the sightings vary, including the idea that as more UFOs are present they make themselves more observable to the public. Another theory suggests that people are more aware of their surroundings – when you look for something, you’re more likely to find it.

Montreal ranked number one in Canadian cities with the most reported sightings, just ahead of Toronto, where 78 UFOs were spotted. A total of 97 unexplained sightings were spotted in Montreal’s skies. Which certainly makes you wonder; is it a classic Montreal smoked meat sandwich or a Habs game that’s calling their name.

One thing does seem to be for sure though – aliens, if they exist, certainly have a penchant for poutine. Then again, we’d probably travel across the galaxy for a one too. If you see any UFOs in the sky, be sure to report it – or better yet, lay off the LSD.
