Recipe for Change Will Dish Up Good Food for a Great Cause

On Thursday, February 26th, we’ve got a way better happy hour option for you than your typical hangout.

Think: eating and drinking for a good cause in space filled with fellow young professionals foodies and inspirational kids.

Recipe for Change, the ultimate food event presented by FoodShare, will satisfy your inner foodie and party for the love – and future – of food.

Going down at the St. Lawrence North Market from 6pm-9pm, this year’s edition, “Party for the Future of Food,” will feature 30 local chefs, two craft brewers, and four wineries. These include some of your favourites, from go-to restaurants like DaiLo, Fonda Lola, and Pizzeria Libretto, to the ultimate sweet tooth satisfier, Sweet Sammies, all washed down with beer from Black Oak Brewing Co. and Beaus All Natural Craft Beers.

If wine’s more your thing, you’ll have your choice of an assortment of VQA Wines, including offerings from Chateau des Charmes, Good Earth Winery, Grange of Prince Edward County Vineyards and Estates, and Frogpond Farm Organic Winery.

Do we have your attention yet?

And did we mention that your ticket includes unlimited food and drink throughout the evening? Because having to purchase those flimsy food and drink tickets is super annoying, right?

Oh, and there will also be a fully loaded silent auction.

Of course, the event is all for a good (actually, pretty great) cause. It raises money for FoodShare programs that inspire the next generation of healthy eaters, growers, and sharers. The organization’s field-to-table approach focuses on the entire system that puts food on our tables – from growing, processing, and distribution of food, to its purchasing, cooking, and consumption.

FoodShare is a leading community food organization in Toronto, with an MO to return healthy food and food literacy to schools. Every year, their programs reach over 223,000 people in the city. Some of the children the organization works with will be on-site to dish up eats at one of the stations.

This is one meal you don’t want to miss out on – buy your tickets now.
