Recap: Tiffany Leather Collection Launch

We may have missed Breakfast at Tiffany’s, but we still had time to take in a new luxury leather collection that filled our appetite for fashion just as much. Notable was invited to stop by Vancouver’s Tiffany & Co.’s Boutique to celebrate the launch of The Tiffany Leather Collection, courtesy of designers Richard Lambertson and John Truex – whose pieces embrace the trademark blue hue and iconic logo this historic company is so well-known for.

Lambertson and Truex have created a playful-yet-sleek, timeless collection that manages to cover it all. We checked out classic-style handbags and found the swankiest oversized (reversible) totes before discovering the perfect cocktail-party clutches, guaranteed to be your go-to accessory during the holiday season.

The Tiffany Leather Collection isn’t just about the bags: it features his and her gloves, wallets and plenty more to please. We perused these pieces and more while sipping Champagne and noshing on tasty bites courtesy of Hawksworth Restaurant before garnering an introduction to the design duo themselves.

Having joined Tiffany & Co. in 2009, Lambertson and Truex brought with them an array of award-winning expertise from careers steeped in crafting stylish leather goods (the two shared honours as the CFDA Accessories Designer of the Year in 2000 and went on to win the ACE Award for Design Excellence thereafter).

As co-chief executives and creative directors of their own company (founded in 1998), the Lambertson/Truex partnership established itself as one built on careful craftsmanship, exclusivity and unique designs. With individual and collective design visions finding themselves on the shelves of Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Truex and Lambertson have spent plenty of time honing their skills.

Perhaps most notable: Lambertson’s efforts working exclusively with Gucci, helping re-form and re-launch the brand; and Mr. Turex’ time as director of design and sourcing at ck Calvin Klein.
Check out this new collection yourself and visit Tiffany & Co. at their Vancouver store located at 732 Burrard Street. Watch out for a second store location to open soon at Vancouver’s Oakridge Centre and start planning that Holiday Wish List!
