Recap: Thai House Restaurant Group’s 25th Anniversary Party

On Wednesday night hundreds of friends, fans and media flocked to Pink Elephant Thai Restaurant and the latest instalment (and success story) courtesy of Vancouver’s Chen family – celebrating 25 years in business.

We paused by the pink carpet and managed to grab a shot of the Chen brothers posing with Playboy Energy Drink “bunnies” before heading inside. Delectable Thai treats were passed around the room and the vino seemed free-flowing as we worked our way around, mingling with a post-work crowd primed to get the party started.

The talented DJ SKLA spun wicked beats from his vantage point, perfectly perched above the room, and we snuck up and away a few times whilst sipping our Singha and noshing freshly prepped Spring Rolls. It seemed as though there was no end to the stream of fashionable guests and well-wishers flowing into the packed space, all wanting to congratulate a family who have worked tirelessly to put Thai cuisine on Vancouver’s culinary map. Having established the original Thai House restaurant back in 1986, the group has since expanded to include a collection of seven restaurants throughout the city; and we think this was indeed a noteworthy cause for kudos and cheers!
