Recap: Rocky Mountain Wine Festival

Calgary YPs came out in full force for the 14th Annual Rocky Mountain Wine Festival. A favourite amongst many Calgarians, it was the spot both Friday and Saturday (October 14th and 15th). With over 200 exhibitors, it was a distinguished collection of wines from around the globe, premium spirits, single malt, and blended scotches, port, specialty liqueurs, and imported and micro-brewed beer.

Charles Smith, the 2009 winemaker of the year, was even on-site, greeting fans and giving them an opportunity to taste his award-winning wines.

Of course, wine and food go hand in hand and many of YYC’s favourite restaurants were also showcasing some of their best dishes. This event is one to look forward to every fall and this year was no exception.
